About this Event
PLEASE NOTE: Although Eventbrite only shows Friday, April 17th, this is a two-day workshop (Friday, April 17-Saturday April 18) event. Registration is for both days. Single day tickets are not available.
Workshop Overview
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a mindfulness-based approach that teaches patients to embrace difficult thoughts and emotions rather than struggling against them. By learning to observe thoughts without judgment and committing to value-driven actions, patients develop psychological flexibility to navigate life's challenges and create a more fulfilling, meaningful existence. In this training participants will have the opportunity to hone their therapeutic ACT skills with an expert trainer—Dr. Robyn Walser in a two day workshop. This is going to be an intermediate training, but beginners are welcome.
Schedule and Location
This two day workshop will run from 9:00-5:00 on Friday, April 17, 2026 and Saturday, April 18, 2026. It will take place on UNLV Campus in the Richard Tam Alumni Center. Free event-designated parking will be available.
Continuing Education Credits
Participants who attend the two-day workshop in full will receive a certificate for 12 CEUs. This workshop is approved in Nevada for CEUs for psychologists, social workers, marriage and family therapists, and clinical professional counselors. Participants from other allied fields are welcome to request documentation needed to submit an application for CEU approval from their respective licensing body.
