About this Event
AFTLS is a troupe of five classically-trained British actors who travel college campuses in the US performing Shakespeare's works in an engaging and minimalist style. Co-founded by Sir Patrick Stewart in the 1970s, they were a fixture of campus life at UT from the 1990s through the start of the pandemic under the long-time residency directorship of Professor Alan Friedman. They now make their triumphant return. AFTLS is known for their distinctive minimalist style, in which only five actors take on all the roles in a full Shakespeare play.
Performances will take place at the Texas Spirit Theater at the Bullock State History Museum.
