The 1st Eurasian Congress of Linguists is a major international academic event that will bring together over 500 scientists from more than 40 countries to discuss key areas in modern linguistics and the contributions of leading international research schools. The Congress will feature plenary presentations, roundtable discussions, and poster sessions on various topics such as the International Decade of Indigenous Languages, strengthening academic collaboration, the Russian Academy of Sciences, artificial intelligence in mass media, the deaf community’s culture and Russian Sign Language, what the world’s languages reveal about our past, the brain and language, and how the brain reads. The plenary speakers will include Alexey Gippius, Evgeny Golovko, Ayesha Kidwai, Johanna Nichols, Martin Haspelmath, Alan Cienki, Bao An Chen, and Juha Janhunen.
