If you came to our Toby's event prior to Covid, this event will be a similar style - more social, some video games, and a chance to chit-chat with your Gaymer friends.
Note: This event is age-restricted to 19+ due to the liquor license - please be prepared to present Valid ID, along with your ticket, and covid passport.

The moment that we've all been waiting for for so long is finally upon us! With the loosening of Covid safety guidelines, it is now safe for us to get together again in person for our board game meetups! Since we have to meet in the Covid era, some things have changed from how we're used to do it.
As with the picnic meetups we've held this summer, we will have limited tickets available for you to obtain in order to participate in the event. These tickets will priced at $5 a ticket. This amount will be given back to you upon redeeming your ticket at the venue, in the form of a $5 voucher for food/drink. However, if someone purchase a ticket but does not attend, the money will be considered a donation to the Gaymers. We're instating this ticket price in order to avoid members getting tickets and then not showing up at the event, which would then limit another member from attending. Please be prepared to show your vaccine passport as we will be scanning them upon your arrival as well. Come get your tickets while they're hot, and join us for fun times together, and maybe meeting people you've been chatting with on Discord for the past 2 years for the first time!

Why are you charging for events now when previous events have been free?
We are still committed to keeping the cost of events as close to free as possible. However, we want to ensure that as many members as possible can attend the physical event while working with a maximum size. As such, we believe a $6 ticket that provides a drink voucher would be the best way forward.
If you are unable to afford this cost, please join our Discord and reach out to an admin - we can make arrangements.
How will we be able to use our drink voucher?
When you arrive at the event, we will scan your ticket and vaccine passport. Once that is done, we will give you a voucher you can provide to the staff at the bar, redeemable for one basic drink.
Why limit tickets?
Due to the size of the venue, this is based on the amount of seating available.
What happens if we don't use our voucher by the end of the event?
If a drink voucher is not used by the end of the night, the money will be considered donated to the Vancouver Gaymers
Why do we need to show our vaccine passport?
Firstly, this is because this event take place in an indoor venue. Secondly, it is to ensure we can provide a safe and responsible environment for attendees
Is masks still required?
Please follow provincial guidelines by wearing a mask while moving around the bar, and ask your table before removing your mask while seated. If they decline, move to a vacant table to eat and drink.
