Host: Dr. Dimitri Mavris

Info: Dr. Mavris blends deep technical expertise (in systems, design optimization, architecture) with leadership of a large and influential laboratory (ASDL) that touches many aspects of aerospace engineering.

His work is applied and forward-looking, spanning conceptual design of aircraft, system-of-systems thinking, uncertainty/optimization methods, and collaboration between academia/industry/government.

The scale of his impact (many graduates, many research projects, industry/government partnerships) gives him visibility beyond a conventional professor role.
