Presented in partnership with Ka Papa Loʻi ʻo Kānewai and Ka Papa Loʻi ʻo Punaluʻu, the Mālama Hāloa Kalo Festival & Symposium is an opportunity to learn about different varieties of Hawaiian kalo and how to care for them. Every year, the Festival spotlights a specific ʻohana kalo, encouraging research into kalo genealogy to better understand the who, what, where, why, and how of Hawaiian Kalo cultivation. This year, we celebrate kalo ʻohe.
Mahalo nui loa to the Kosasa Foundation for supporting this program.
