About this Event
Bring your family, friends, and furry companions for a fun-filled morning celebrating the animals we love.
Enjoy a scenic route around Big Woods Lake, visit sponsor booths, and connect with fellow animal lovers from across the community. With activities for all ages, there’s something for everyone—two legs or four!
Run, walk, or wag your way through this beloved annual tradition. Come for the exercise, stay for the smiles, wagging tails, and unforgettable fun!
Bring your dog!
A few simple rules to keep everyone safe and happy:
- No retractable leashes; maximum 6-foot leash length
- No female dogs in heat
- Keep your furry companions leashed at all times
- Make sure dogs are up to date on vaccinations
Don’t have a dog? No problem! Dogs are not required to participate. Some of CBHS’s adoptable pups may be on site in the meet-and-greet area if you’d like to stop by and say hello.
Children seven and under can participate free with a registered adult. T-shirts are not included for these little participants, but they can be purchased for an additional cost if your child would like one.

When/Where:
Race Starts at 9 am! Participants are encouraged to arrive between 8:00 - 8:45 am.

Registration
- $45 – Standard Registration: All participants will receive a Furry 5K T-shirt.
- $60 – Crewneck Registration: Includes a crewneck sweatshirt instead of a T-shirt.
Register by April 24 to guarantee your T-shirt. Registrations after this date: we will do our best to provide a T-shirt at check-in, but sizes and quantities will be limited, first come, first served. The first 200 preregistrants will also receive a swag bag from our sponsors, available to pick up with your shirt.
