About this Event
Step back into the soundscape of the American Revolution. From whistling fifes to powerful drums, enjoy music and songs popular with both civilians and soldiers, and learn about the people who inspired them. Musical performances continue throughout the day.
Try to imagine yourself living through the birth of our nation. Could you start a fire with flint and steel? Spin fibers into thread? What would your role in life be, and where would your loyalties lie as the nation continues towards independence?
Revolutionary Homestead highlights how everyday lives were affected during one of the most formative periods in our history. Experience life as a frontier family in 1776 through engaging living history demonstrations and presentations. Learn about daily life during the American Revolution, including the crafts, culture, and chores that shaped the era.
Winter programs focus on hearth cooking, sewing, leatherwork, and indoor crafts, as well as the March birthing season for our heritage sheep and goats.
Museum exhibits, the gift shop, and the visitor center are also open during living history programs, so join us for a full-day experience.
No RSVP required, our free Saturday programs this winter are supported by the Americana Corner Preserving America Partners program.
