McLean Community Players is casting the following roles for our Summer 2026 production of 1776!McLean Community Players is actively seeking to cast actors of diverse backgrounds and presentations to represent what America looks like today, rather than what America’s leaders specifically looked like in 1776. Unless gender is specified in casting notes, actors are encouraged to audition for any character, within their vocal range, that they would find joy in bringing to life onstage!
Auditions: April 14 & 15 Callbacks: April 18 at McLean Community Center (MCC) 4:00-8:00 PM
Rehearsals will begin immediately following casting. Performances: July 17-August 2, 2026 at The Alden (at MCC)
Audition Requirements
Please prepare 16-32 bars of a classic or early contemporary musical theatre selection.
Please prepare your side of one of the following arguments. Be prepared to present and defend your answer as fiercely as you can for 30 seconds to 1 minute.
Would you rather have chainsaws for hands or helicopters for feet and why? They are always on.
Is a hot dog a taco or a sandwich and why?
Would you rather fight 1 horse-sized duck or 10 duck-sized horses and why?
If you could ride into battle on any type of pasta noodle, what type of pasta noodle would it be and why?
