16hr Outdoor First Aid Training
Hey there outdoor enthusiasts! Are you ready to level up your first aid skills? Join us for this 16-hour Outdoor First Aid Training on the edge of the beautiful Peak District.
Whether you're a hiker, camper, or just love spending time in nature, this course will teach you essential life-saving techniques for handling emergencies in the great outdoors. This course is also suitable for outdoors instructors, DofE Leaders and youth organisation volunteers needing a 16 hour first aid certificate.
Our experienced team are Outdoors Instructors and Mountain Rescue Team members and will cover topics through a mix of presentations and practical sessions.
Over the two days we cover:
- Basic anatomy and physiology
- Catastrophic haemorrhage
- CPR and use of an AED
- Choking and drowning
- Bleeding, breaks and burns
- Unconscious casualties & shock
- Chest & Eye injuries
- Hypothermia and hyperthermia
- Meningitis and Sepsis
- Poisoning and anaphylactic shock
- Major illnesses such as asthma, stroke, epilepsy and diabetes.
Free parking is available onsite, along with as much tea, coffee and biscuits as you can manage!
