Dear Facebook friends, and supporters of dance in South Florida. The battle is not over but for now funding for this year’s arts programs has been restored with less than we had in the 2023-24 budget year, it is still a victory. And thanks for all the hard work the arts community has done to make this possible. The Department of Cultural Affairs is preserved, unfortunately without our wonderful director Marialaura Leslie. This is a very good Band-Aid fix and much more work is to be done. Thank you to all who kept our voices alive. I am pleased to announce that the 15th annual Daniel Lewis Dance Sampler with happen on Saturday October 18, 2025, at 8:00 pm at the New World Dance Theater. with a 7:00 Pre-Show Reception, Honoring Artburst, Miamiartzine and WLRN Radio for their commitment to arts journalism in South Florida.
