It’s that time of year again—and this year marks the 14th time in a row that our parish has had the joy of hosting the annual Blessing of the Animals! Held every first Sunday in October, this tradition coincides with the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, who is remembered for his deep love and care for all God’s creatures. The Blessing is always a special event at St. Patrick, one that brings so much happiness to everyone who attends. Families gather with their furry, feathery, and even scaly companions, and the churchyard is filled with wagging tails, gentle purrs, and joyful faces. Some parishioners even bring photos of beloved pets who have passed away, to have them remembered and blessed in a spirit of gratitude.
We warmly invite you to join us this year as we continue this beautiful tradition. Bring along your animal friends—or their pictures—for a blessing on Sunday, October 5th at 3:00 PM, in front of the church.
Come share in this celebration of God’s creation, community, and the joy our animals bring to our lives. All are welcome!
