Join us as we throw our final celebration of the year. Float between both of our homes; a sonic time travel with Chinatown Records 華埠錄音 while shuffling some tiles upstairs at 13 Orphans and karaoke magic downstairs at Baba’s House.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- 13 Orphans (2nd floor): Tonight, we're slipping back into the golden glow of 1930s–70s Shanghai and Hong Kong nightclubs. From Mandarin jazz and swing to mambo and chachachá, DJ historian yiuyiu 瑶瑶 will be spinning rare records passed down through Chinatown families, transporting you to the era where East met West in effortless, glamorous harmony.

CHINATOWN RECORDS 華埠錄音 is a homegrown community effort homebased in NYC’s Manhattan Chinatown. DJ historian yiuyiu 瑶瑶 takes on her childhood name to care for & activate the Chinatown Records archive of over 35 record/CD/tape collections inherited from her family & neighbors.
As a community-taught & -powered DJ historian, yiuyiu 瑶瑶 has the most fun steering karaoke dancefloors on the streets of Chinatown & training up next generation DJ historians of all ages to go back-to-back (b2b) with our beloved songs.
