About this Event
Join us for the 12th African Mental Health Summit under the theme: “Borders, Belonging, and Well-Being: Building Thriving African Diaspora Communities Through Mental Health Justice.”
This year’s summit will bring together community leaders, mental health professionals, advocates, researchers, faith leaders, youth, families, and service providers to explore how immigration, displacement, identity, culture, and systemic barriers impact the mental health and well-being of African immigrant, refugee, and diaspora communities.
The summit will center on belonging as a public health and mental health priority. Together, we will examine how communities can move beyond survival toward healing, resilience, and collective thriving. Through powerful presentations, panel discussions, storytelling, cultural wisdom, and community-centered dialogue, participants will explore ways to build culturally responsive, justice-driven, and dignity-rooted systems of care.
This gathering is more than a conference; it is a call to action. It invites us to break down barriers, build bridges of belonging, and create spaces where African diaspora individuals and families are seen, valued, supported, and empowered to flourish.
Whether you are a community member, provider, policymaker, student, advocate, or ally, this summit offers an opportunity to learn, connect, and contribute to a shared vision of mental health justice and well-being for African diaspora communities.
Join us as we uplift voices, champion access, and reimagine the future of African mental health.
