12 Moods of Heaven

Welcome to the 12 Moods of Heaven event! Join us at Witherspoon Presbyterian Church for a unique experience filled with music, art, and inspiration. 12 Moods of Heaven is a jazz, food, and poetry experience that explores the Great Migration through an eight-course soul food meal. Each course is inspired by the natural landscapes that shaped Black migration, earth, river, wind, and root, and paired with live jazz, oral history, and poetic storytelling. We honor nature as ancestor and memory, inviting guests to reflect on the journey through the land that nourished us. This immersive dinner is a celebration of movement, belonging, and the sacred connection between body, spirit, and soil. Featuring food from Chef Oya, music from Rob Dixon Trio, poetry from local poets and perfromers, and a part of the 2025 Spirit & Place Festival, a night you won't forget!
