Wallk or run...this race is just fun. The flattest and most unique race in the Upstate. Sign up as teams, run in costumes, or work on your personal records. The 11th Annual Take Flight 5k fundraiser is back. We raised enough to build a new picnic hangar and expand the green space of Runway Park. We are continuing to raise money for swings and shade.

Join us on Memorial Day weekend at the Greenville Downtown Airport for the 11th Annual Take Flight 5K on Saturday, May 25th, 2024.
We will take a moment to honor our fallen veterans with a small ceremony prior to the race. There are prizes to be raffled away and trophies to be won.
The Civil Air Patrol will present the colors and conduct the missing comrade ceremony. We will have an actual bugler, Stephen Goshorn, to play TAPS. The MHCC History Museum will be there and the SC National Guard will support as well.
