Join the BV Museum on October 18 or October 19 for our 11th annual cemetery walk! The walk begins at 11am each day at the Smithers Municipal Cemetery (1958 Dominion Street). The walk will feature new stories of past Smithers residents.
Please remember to dress for the weather, and be prepared for uneven or wet ground. Dogs unfortunately are not invited (cemetery rule). Please note that there are no washrooms on site.
Admission is free, donations gratefully accepted.
Never attended before? Here’s what you can expect: the cemetery walk runs for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, and features an introduction to the history of our cemetery, followed by the life stories of 4-5 individuals. We stand in one place for about 8-10 minutes per story. Guests are welcome to bring a lawn chair to assist with their mobility needs.
