What began as a Sunday night experiment in a Shoreditch basement back in October 2015 has grown into a powerful, grassroots club movement - and on Saturday, 25th October 2025, we celebrate 10 years of Girlz B Like at our spiritual home: Grow, Hackney Wick.From day one, Girlz B Like has championed female DJs and selectors, giving them a platform to control the sound, shape the narrative, and share their voice - all on vinyl. While much of clubland remains saturated by testosterone-fuelled lineups, Girlz B Like has consistently put women front and centre. Our motto? “Guys Dance, Girlz DJ.” And the formula works.�
Over the years, we’ve been blessed with unforgettable sets from trailblazers like Josey Rebelle, Katie Barber, DJ Paulette, Shy One, Emma Ryalls, Lil Minx, DJ Blush, and Kinky D, to name a few. We’ve hosted dynamic live acts, celebrated our third-year residency at Grow, taken the party On The Road To - Bude, and watched Marcia DaVinylMC smash a legendary 7-hour solo set - not once but thrice.
Now, for our milestone 10th anniversary, we level up again with three incredible debut guests: Nubian Soul, Sophie Lloyd, and DJ Inch High - each bringing their own vibe to the booth.
This isn’t just a party. We are a movement. A memory. A message. A statement.�And on October 25th, it’s going to be a roadblock.

We’re beyond excited to welcome the one and only Sophie Lloyd to the 10 Years of Girlz B Like party on Saturday, October 25th at Grow, Hackney Wick - and yes, she’s making her debut with us!
Sophie’s journey started in Brighton, digging for disco at boot fairs before becoming one of the UK’s most respected selectors and producers.
With over 20 years behind the decks, she’s rocked everything from sweaty basements to major festival stages including Glitterbox, Brixton Disco Festival, Secret Garden Party, Farr, and Bestival.
Her 2018 gospel dance belter ‘Calling Out’ (Classic Music Company) featuring US vocal trio Dames Brown became an instant club classic, and her sound is always rooted in joy: disco, balearic, Italo, deep house, rare edits - whatever gets the floor moving.
Whether you’re dancing in a club, at a festival, or your kitchen - Sophie’s groove will make you move.

We’re also hyped to welcome DJ Inch High to the 10 Years of Girlz B Like celebration on Saturday, October 25th at Grow.
A true music head from day dot, Inch High started collecting vinyl at 8 years old and hasn’t stopped since. Growing up in 80s North London, she was raised on a rich mix of Soul, Rare Groove, Boogie & House, with house parties and raves shaping her unique sound.
More than a DJ, she’s a vibe curator and storyteller, taking dancers on deep, soulful journeys through time. Expect deep cuts, timeless grooves, and feel-good energy from start to finish.
For her Girlz B Like debut, Inch High is digging deep in the vinyl crates to deliver something extra special.
It’s been 10 years of sisterhood, music and movement - and this set is going to be one to remember.
