Hon. Priyanca Radhakrishnan MP and Labour Maungakiekie are delighted to invite you to the 10th Mary Dreaver Lecture! This year we have the incredible Margaret Wilson who will speak on Women at Crossroads: the gains, the threats, and the next steps. With an extensive career in law, politics, and academia, you’re sure to be captivated by what this former Member of Parliament (1999–2008) and Speaker of the New Zealand Parliament (2005–2008) has to share.
Her other leadership roles have included Attorney-General, Minister of Labour, and Minister Responsible for Treaty of Waitangi Negotiations. Beyond Parliament, Margaret has served as Director of the Reserve Bank, Law Commissioner, and Foundation Dean of Waikato Law School.
As a former President of the New Zealand Labour Party, she has been at the forefront of national conversations on law, policy, and gender.
By attending the lecture, you will not only come away informed and inspired, you’ll meet like-minded people and you’ll support Mary Dreaver's legacy, with proceeds going to the political campaigns of Labour-affiliated women candidates.
A gourmet afternoon tea will be provided. Please share this invitation with anyone who may be interested. All welcome!
