Originally used to list the priests who did not attend mass in the Vatican, recreate this surprisingly modern looking late medieval/ early modern binding based on a surviving example in the Vatican library.
This class will take you through preparing your pages, sewing, lining your cover
with decorative papers as well as creating an elaborately cut label for the cover.
Suitable for complete beginners to bookbinding. Ages 16+
This class will be held in Fabrication York at 32 Stonegate, York YO1 8AS
Access: The Fabrication shop has 3 steps up from the street and 2 further steps inside to access the rear of the shop. The class area is located at the rear of the shop floor. Toilets are on the first floor and accessed via stairs only.
