The 10th Celtic Calling Gathering will take place in Charleston, WV Mar. 4th to 8th., 2026The Gathering will feature all of the usual fun and shenanigans:
• Events at Kanawha County Main Library
• Film at Floralee Hark Cohen Cinema by WVIFF
• FOOTMAD Ceili/Ceilidh Dance (pronounced kay-lee)
• 5K Kilt Run and 2K Walk
• Celtic Village with crafters, clans, children’s activities
• ‘The Dog Show’
• Pageant to elect Gathering Chieftain’s Court
• George Daugherty Story Telling Competition
• Capitol Street Parade
• FOOTMAD Traditional Concert
• Kirkin O’ the Tartans Church Service
• Irish Road Bowling at Kanawha State Forest
• Playwright Competition & Readers Theater
At various venues around Charleston:
Music from: House of Hamill, Kinnfolk, Father Son and Friends, Patrick O’Flatherty, The Charleston Rogues, Mountain Thyme, Tim and Maggie, The Brickerson’s, Twisted Laurel,Almost Heaven Dulcimer Group, Aubrey Cale, Music Sessions and Pipe Bands, Beni Kedem Highlanders and Kanawha Valley Pipes and Drums
Dance: Appalachian Lads and Lassies, Lincoln County Cloggers.
The full schedule will be up by February 1st – Feb. 1st is celebrated in Ireland as St. Bridgid’s Day and the first day of Spring in the old pagan calendar.
