Are you ready for Boston's hottest festival? The 9th Annual Boston JerkFest is back for 2 days of fun in the sun this summer, July 7-8, 2022. Boston JerkFest recognized as the Best Food Festival in 2022 by . The festival was noted by Zagat as one of Boston's top 10 Summer Food Festivals.

Last year, International Reggae Ambassador Mr. Freddie McGregor was our headliner artist to celebrate with us.  This an outdoor, family-friendly Caribbean food festival event that features Jamaican jerk hot spiced BBQ food. The festival will be held at a new location, at the Harvard Athletic Complex, 145 North Harvard Street, in Allston and just over the Harvard Square bridge, less than a 7 minute walk from Harvard Square. A portion of the proceeds of this event supports Cambridge Carnival International and Sustainable Food and Culture.

Boston JerkFest Festival, Saturday, July 8, 2023, 11AM - 8 PM

This family-friendly event offers more than a dozen vendors selling a variety of jerk hot spiced food, hot sauces and Caribbean specialty products; craft vendors, live music, kids activities, a Jerk Cook-off, a Seafood Throwdown, other Chef Demos, and a  Reggae Bar offering rum punch, craft beer and wine for sale.


Highlights of the festival include: 
  • 9 hours of fun in the sun!
  • Top local Caribbean Chefs offering authentic jerk spiced foods and traditional  Caribbean home-made beverages for sale
  • Spice Lane featuring the Boston Hot Sauce Fest with lots of spicy sauces, herbs, jellies, and more.
  • Live music featuring reggae, steel band and other Caribbean music
  • Jerk Cook-off Competition 
  • The Reggae Bar will have rum punch, craft beer, wine and artisan beverages for  sale on Saturday
  • Kids Zone with  interactive arts & crafts and activities for children of  all ages
  • Ethnic arts and craft vendors

2-Day Festival Pass: Rum & Brew and Boston JerkFest, July 7 & 8, 2023

Enjoy two days of fun in the sun and Eat, Drink, and Be Irie with us. Come "lime" with us on Friday night for our Rum & Brew Tasting and comeback the next day for more music, more food , more spice, and more fun. This 2-day pass is for 21+ year old attendees.

Is food included with my ticket? Food is NOT included with your general admission ticket for General Admission.. VIP tickets include one meal ticket to be redeemed at selected vendors on Friday night only. Access to exclusive VIP Lounge on Saturday with bite samples included with VIP tickets. Food will be available for sale at reasonable prices both days .

What vendors will be at Boston JerkFest this year?A full list of vendors can be found on our website and coming soon We will update it as vendors are confirmed.

Is my registration ticket transferrable ?Yes, tickets are transferrable. You can change the name on the ticket. No reentry.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?We encourage you to download Eventbrite App for fast check in! Our team will be scanning the QR code from your phone or ticket.

What is the refund policy?All tickets are non-refundable, but you can transfer to friends. Tickets are non-refundable.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?The Rum & Brew Tasting event on Friday, July 7, 2023, is a 21+ event with I.D. checked at the entrance. You also have to be 21+ to purchase alcohol on site. Boston JerkFest food festival on Saturday, July 8, 2023. Boston JerkFest & Hot Sauce Fest is a family friendly event and we encourage that you bring your children.

Are kids free to attend?No children allowed at the Rum & Brew Tasting on Friday, no matter what age. Children 12 years and under have free admission to the festival. There is a nominal admission fee for children 12-`14 years old.

What are my transportation options getting to the event? We suggest you take the MBTA. Go to the Harvard Square stop, and walk 7 minutes across the Harvard Bridge to the location. Buses 66 and 86 are also nearby.

What are my parking options? Parking is available on site for $10 on a first-come, first served basis. VIP's get one free parking spot on both days.

Are dogs allowed? Due to the nature of the event, dogs are not allowed.
