The Scott Smith Memorial Run/Walk is an annual event intended to raise funds for scholarships for seniors attending Harford County public high schools who are on cross-country teams and/or track teams, who have been accepted to a two or four year college program, and who intend to continue their cross-country and/or track participation while attending college. The funds are distributed based on the pro rata participation of each school in the Run/Walk and are distributed directly to the students' coach who then decides, based on the criteria, which seniors should be scholarship recipients.
