Join us Thanksgiving Day morning for the 10th annual running of the Canned Cranberry Sauce 10k! This event is free. We only ask for a canned or dry good donation which will be given to Urban Ministries.Since the first Canned Cranberry Run, the Greensboro Running and Walking Community has donated over 6000lbs (3 tons!) of canned and dry goods! WeeDoggie!
There will be goodies for participants after they complete the run/walk!! We'll have our traditional pumpkin cranberry cookies and regular chocolate chip cookies too, made by Runner "Baker" Dude.
The course is an out-n-back mostly along the Latham Park and Lake Daniel Greenways. This is a fun run/walk. Not quite up to a 10K (6.2 miles). No Worries! The route is an out-n-back, so you can run/walk as far as you'd like then turnaround. There is no official timing and there is no police support on the route. Participants are to observe all traffic signals and signs.
Start Location: Revolution Mill, but we're not running up Yanceyville! We're going to take the new connector greenway to Church Street! WeeDoggie! To access the start, enter the complex at the Yanceyville St/Textile Dr entrance then head to the far left side of the parking lot. Look for the RunnerDude truck.
Start Time: 7:30am. Arrive by 7:15am to allow time to drop off your canned/dry goods. (Scroll down for items needed.)

The run/walk will begin at 7:30am, so arrive by 7:15am in order to drop off your Urban Ministry donations (see needed item list below).
The run start is located at the large parking lot at Revolution Mill (entrance to parking lot located at Yanceyville St. and Textile Drive.
This is our 10th year in supporting Urban Ministries. Hope you'll join us before you start your Thanksgiving festivities.

FUN RUN/WALK WAIVER: By participating in this event, I know that running/walking a road fun run/walk is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and participate unless I am medically able. I agree to abide by any decision of an event official relative to my ability to safely complete the run/walk. I assume all risks associated with participating in this event, including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other participants, the effects of the weather including high heat and humidity, traffic, and the conditions of the road, all such risks being known and appreciated by me.
