SHORT VERSION:RonMin turned 10 in Nov. and as a gift to us all, during our anniversary year we will organize with Matkasport a tetralogy of four, week long, beginner friendly competitions with a price fund of 8 pairs of La Sportiva climbing shoes, - 2 pairs are raffled per competition. To participate you only need a gym ticket and record youur sends using TopLogger app (which is very useful to enhance your climbing experience also outside of the comp).
LONG VERSION:
The participants will be divided into two groups based on the number of routes climbed:
1. Stars - top 50% of participants
2. Rising Stars - remaining 50% of participants
To give Rising Stars a chance to gain fame, about half of the roughly 30 routes per competition will be in V1-V4 range.
At the end of each competition, 2 pairs of La Sportiva climbing shoes will be raffled:
1. The lucky Star can choose the La Sportiva climbing shoes of their choice from Ronimisministeerium or Matkasport selection.
2. The lucky Rising Star receives La Sportiva Tarantula climbing shoes (if he/she puts in a bit of own money, the shoes can be upgraded).
Each climbed route will earn the competitor a raffle ticket. In addition, top-6 Stars will receive extra raffle tickets. The total number of extra raffle tickets is 25% of the number of competitors in the Stars category. For example, in case of 80 participants, there would be 40 competitors in the Stars category and thus 10 extra raffle tickets (40 x 25% = 10). The 10 extra raffle tickets would be distributed among top-6 as shown below, with decimal numbers rouded up to:
- 1st place = 35% or 4 extra raffle tickets (3.5 rounded up)
- 2nd place = 25% or 3 extra raffle tickets (2.5 rounded up)
- 3rd place = 20% or 2 extra raffle tickets
- 4th place = 10% or 1 extra raffle ticket
- 5th place = 7.50% or 1 extra raffle ticket (0.75 rounded up)
- 6th place = 2.50% or 1 extra raffle ticket (0.25 rounded up)
The second competition will take place on 4-11.3.2025. The remaining stages of the tetralogy will take place:
- Summer: June
- Autumn: August (at the to-be built Mustika gym)
