10th Anniversary (2016-26) of "Charm'tastic Mile" & 5th Annual "Charm'tastic Mile Day" in Charm City
This coming April 25, 2026 will mark the 10th Anniversary (2016-26) of The "Charm'tastic Mile" being introduced to the City of Baltimore. On April 25, 2016 The "Charm'tastic Mile" was officially unveiled as the 1.3 mile stretch-corridor in the heart of Dwtn-Charm City. It would run from Dwtn-West, to the Inner Harbor & Harbor East.
The creation of The "Charm'tastic Mile" was heavily influenced by The Magnificent Mile in Chicago, the world-renowned 13-blocks of Michigan Avenue. This past October 24, 2025 "The Mile" had a featured image & location on the much-anticipated Baltimore-Edition MONOPOLY Game. The Chance ? Cards were placed on a portion of the Iconic "Charm'tastic Mile" Street Sign.
On April 25, 2022 Mayor Brandon Scott Proclaimed that date as the 1st Annual "Charm'tastic Mile Day" for the City of Baltimore and its citizens. The HBO TV mini-series We Own This City debuted on HBO MAX on the same-day April 25, 2022. David Simon & George Pelecanos from the heralded series "The Wire" were creators of the mini-series. April 25th will mark the 5th Annual "Charm'tastic Mile Day" in Charm City.
April 25th will also be the 75th Anniversary (1951-2026) of the Domino Sugars neon sign being unveiled to the city. The "Charm'tastic Mile" (4-25-2016) & Domino Sugars neon sign (4-25-1951) share the same date of introduction, 65-years apart. April 25th will also be the last day of the 2026 NFL Draft.
This years '26 draft in Pittsburgh marks the 30th Anniversary (1996) of the Baltimore Ravens 1st-ever NFL Draft. The Ravens selected OL Jonathan Ogden (4th pick) and LB Ray Lewis (26th pick) in the 1st round. The two star players would go on to win Super Bowl XXXV vs the NY Giants 34-7 and become Pro Football Hall of Famers.
