This Winter Solstice practice of 108 Sun Salutations is an embodied ritual to honor endings, release what no longer serves, and gently welcome the promise of renewal. While the outer world slows and turns inward, we meet the moment through steady movement.
The practice will be guided in Spanish, but you don't need to understand Spanish to fully participate or receive the benefits. The structure of the practice, the repetition of movement, and the collective energy of the room naturally carry you. Many people find that letting go of needing to understand every word actually deepens presence, intuition, and connection to the body.
Practicing 108 Sun Salutations is a time-honored tradition in yoga communities, symbolizing completion, cleansing, and transformation. The number 108 is considered sacred across yogic, Hindu, and Buddhist traditions, representing wholeness (the meeting point of the individual, the natural world, and the greater cosmos).
This is both a physical challenge and a devotional offering. You are invited to complete all 108, or to pause, rest, and rejoin as needed. There is no right way to do this practice. Every breath and every moment of listening to your body is part of the ritual.
We move together to mark the turning of the year, honoring what has been lived, felt, and learned, and creating space for what is ready to emerge next.
All levels are welcome.
