Come see your neighbor's best produce, canning, photography, crafts and more. Participate in events and activities for the whole family as we “Celebrate the Zucchini”. Springwater Grange #263 is excited to be hosting their 102nd annual Springwater Community Fair on Saturday September 21st. The fair runs from 1-6 pm at the Grange hall at 24591 S. Wallens Road, Estacada. The event is free, but some activities may have a small charge. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
Activities during the day will include Cornhole, a scavenger hunt, tie dying, the ever-popular cake walk and other craft activities.
In celebration of the 102nd anniversary of the fair there will be a special Zucchini Bread contest. Bring a loaf of your favorite zucchini bread or half a dozen muffins by noon on Saturday to be included in the judging.
The Grange will also be hosting their 2nd annual Car Show with Tractors and Motorcycles too. The car show runs from 10am-4pm at the Grange hall. All community members are invited to bring their best samples of produce from their garden, food preservation, photos, artwork, handicrafts, and more for exhibiting and judging. Entries may be brought to the Grange hall from 2-8 pm on Friday September 20th or from 10 am-12 noon on Saturday. Judging starts at noon. They can be picked up at the close of the fair at 6 pm.
A new contest is, “Dress Up Your Veggie” will be held and while aimed at the community’s children, all are welcome to enter.
Is your garden producing an oversupply of vegetables? The Grange will have a produce exchange table set up under the front porch during the fair. Drop off your extra veggies and/or take what you can use. Leave a donation for the Estacada food bank if desired. All left over vegetables will be donated to the food bank.
