10 YEARS OF SANGHA

We are so excited to invite you to this celebration of our community!

In May 2014 is where it all began.
Beginning with the seed of Dana.
Dana is a pali word which describes the act of generosity, and reciprocal mutual aid is a foundational practice in the dharma traditions.
We were given a key to a communtiy space and three months free rent.
Our first monthly gathering consisted of 5 people in a space which held 50.
Fast forward 10yrs and here we are!
Our communtiy has raised hundreds of pounds for local charities, supplied over a tonne of surplus food from local buisnesses to charities for unhoused folks and we run weekly and monthly meditation classes and groups...all freely offered.

All sustained and run on the dana ethic, the embodiement of genersosity.

We warmly welcome you to join us as we gather to celebrate the verb and practice of community, of spiritual community in a time where mutual aid and that feeling of support is so crucial in addressing the fragmented ways we have become.

All profits and donations from the evening will be offered to our fundraising for the .
The evening will consist of trips down memory lane, communtiy art project, reflections on joy and gratitude with our special guests, music and of course Birthday Cake!

Tickets are priced on a sliding scale.
Please note: all profits from the event will be added towards our Gaza Emergency Fundraiser. A donation option is available shoudl you wish to make a larger donation than the abudnace ticket price.

PARKING

There are plenty of free street parking along Albert Road and outside the venue.

ACCESS

The venue we use offers non step access into the building.

There is one ground floor loo the venue uses as a designated access loo. There are no hoists or other additional features other than it allows ample space for wheelchair users and carers to enter.

There is a small outdoor space which has step only access.

There is no hearing loop installed and there will be some low level amplified music.

  There will be opportunities throughout the evening to offer dana and via a raffle
  Dana can be offered through cahs or contactless payments.
