10-Week Advanced Wheel Pottery Class at Erie ClaySpace

Overview:
Ready to level up your wheel game? 🎉 This 10-week class is for makers who’ve already tackled the basics at ECS (or elsewhere) and are hungry for more mud-slinging adventures. We’ll dig into taller forms, lidded jars, matching sets, and even a few wild curveballs to stretch your skills and creativity. Think more time at the wheel, more chances to experiment, and plenty of space to refine your style. By the end, you’ll have a lineup of pieces that not only show off your growth—but also make you proud to say, yep, I made that.
Where: Erie ClaySpace, 1505 State ST, 3rd Floor of the PACA building, Erie, PA 16501.
Studio Access:
Call (814) 520-5089 when you arrive to be buzzed in. Need the elevator? Let your instructor know when you call—the lift is vintage and manually operated, and we’ll be happy to assist.
What’s Included
- 25 lbs. of clay
- Use of all studio tools, glazes, and firings
- Access to Open Studio on Saturdays (12–2 PM). This open studio time is supervised, but instruction is offered only during class time.
- Additional clay available for purchase
Policies
- Minimum enrollment: 5 students
- Refunds available up to one week before class (processing fees may apply)
- No refunds for missed classes—students are encouraged to catch up during Open Studio.
Notes:
We reserve the right to postpone or cancel classes that do not meet the minimum enrollment of 5 students. If a class is canceled by Erie ClaySpace, you have the option to transfer to another similar class or have your tuition refunded in full.
Refunds are available with proper notice. We are unable to give a refund for this class that is not requested at least one week before the start of the first class. Processing fees may apply. Refunds are not given for missed classes. Students may use Open Studio time to catch up and practice.

🎨 What Will I Learn? Our instructor will demo step-by-step techniques to guide you through your pottery adventure—no experience needed!
💔 What If It Breaks? We handle every piece with care, but pottery can be unpredictable. Some pieces may crack in the kiln due to quirks in the clay.
📦 When Do I Get My Pieces? Your finished work will be ready in about 2–4 weeks. We’ll give you an appointment card with pick up times.
