About this Event
Hiiiii friends!
I am SOOO EXCITED to be hosting this 10 Mile/ 5K run; created as a meaningful way to bring our community together and support a family (or families) affected by the recent LA fires.
While i'm still in the process of selecting a family, I'll update the Eventbrite page with details before the run on Sunday February 23rd. All donations will be made publicly visible on GoFundMe, including my personal contribution of $1,000, along with everything we raise together.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Tickets are available for a donation based fee -- please contribute what you can! 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the chosen family/ families. While this is donation based, please be considerate of what can be impactful to those who've lost everything. The final donation total will be shared once ticket sales close for full transparency.
TICKET INFO:
Each ticket admits one person only-- please ensure everyone in your group has their own ticket.
EVENT SCHEDULE:
10 Mile Run:
Start Time: 7:00 AM
We will begin with a group stretch , followed by a steady- paced run. Feel free to run or walk at your own comfort level- this is NOT a race.
A water station will be available at mile 5. At that point, we'll turn around and head back to the parking lot.
5K: (3.1 Miles)
If you prefer shorter distance, you're welcome to run or walk the 5K, while the 10-mile group completes their route.
PARKING:
FREE PARKING will be available upon arrival, please plan to arrive early to secure a spot. If the parking lot is full, additional street parking is available across the street near the apartments on Baker Street.
ACCESSIBILITY:
The route consists of both a cement paved trail and a dirt trail running alongside each other. You're welcome to run on either path.
AGE REQUIREMENT:
This is an 18+ event, parents are welcome to partipate with their children in strollers.
