Join Fay and gain top tips on how to elevate your crochet skills to achieve finesse and first-time success with your crochet makes.
About this Event

If you want to take your crochet skills to the next level, finesse your makes, or elevate your projects then join Fay Dashper-Hughes, of Provenance Craft Co, as she shares her skills and teaches us the things she wished she had known at the beginning of her crochet journey!

Fay will show you all sorts of hacks for elevating your crochet makes, such as:

· Swapping turning chains for starting stitches.

· The impact of ‘yarn over’ versus ‘yarn under’ when making stitches.

· Colour changes – how to make them neat.

· What to look for when crocheting with wool.

All of the hacks will be available as a supporting blog post that you can refer back to at any time. This will link to all sorts of helpful tutorials (photo and video) to help you on your crochet journey.

By the end of the hour, you should have lots of new tips and tricks under your belt. Nothing would make Fay happier than helping to build your crochet confidence, helping you tackle bigger, more comprehensive crochet projects.

Skill Level Information: This workshop is suitable for beginners, and any crocheters who want to develop their skill levels and create some finesse in their craft.

Fay will be covering the things she wished she had been taught at the beginning of her crochet journey.

What Should I bring? Bring along some aran/ worsted weight yarn and a 4.5mm hook if you want to crochet along.

This event will be hosted on Zoom. It is one of many being planned for our Virtual Mill Open Weekend celebrations.

We know Eventbrite can be a little tricky to use. If you sign up then we will email you the zoom link about 10 mins before the event begins.

Thanks for joining in with our annual bash! - The Mill Folk x

Tutor Bio:

Fay caught the crochet and knitting bug 10 years ago and has never looked back. As an inquisitive fidget, the world of British breeds, proper woolly wool and keeping her hands occupied with hooks, needles and yarn keeps her busy!

In Fay’s book, there’s nothing better than creating new designs, understanding a new technique or investigating how to do something better with wool.

Put simply, she is passionate about working with wool, she loves crocheting and she loves knitting.
