29. Mail tähistame 1 aastat heli, energia ja kogukonna edendamist Tallinnas — ning selle verstaposti puhul tervitame peaesinejana Mijat.
“Born to chill, forced to DJ” – Mija on multidistsiplinaarne ja sõltumatu artist. Tema karjääri on iseloomustanud mitmekülgsus ja eksperimenteerimine, nihutades pidevalt elektroonilise muusika piire. Tema värskemad teosed, sealhulgas “Summer Groove” ja “Soft Groove” EP, näitavad mängulist, kuid samas peent lähenemist hardgroove’i alamžanrile, ühendades house’i, techno ja funki elemente.
Uue eurodance’i ja hardgroove’i lainega, mis on maailma vallutamas, on Mija leidnud oma niši — ühendades disco ja klassikalise house’i lemmikhelid kiiremate BPM-ide ja hardcore rave’i mõjudega, mille keskel ta üles kasvas. Lisaks juhib ta DIY-kogukonnapõhist plaadifirmat Never B Alone, kus uus muusika valitakse ja hääletatakse kollektiivselt artistide poolt.

One year of KONTRAST — and we’re marking it properly.
On May 29th, we celebrate 1 year of pushing sound, energy, and community in Tallinn — and for this milestone, we welcome none other than Mija.
Born to chill, forced to DJ– Mija is multidisciplinary and independent. Her career has been
marked by versatility and experimentation, consistently pushing the boundaries of electronic
music. Her latest works, including "Summer Groove" and “Soft Groove" EP showcase her
playful yet sophisticated take on the hardgroove subgenre, merging elements of house,
techno, and funk.
With the new wave of eurodance and hardgroove sweeping the globe, Mija has found a
pocket that incorporates all her favorite sounds of disco and classic house with the faster
bpms and hardcore rave sounds she grew up in. She also runs a DIY community-driven
record label, Never B Alone, where all new music is selected and collectively voted on by the
artists.
We've always been about contrast — light and dark, fast and slow, familiar and unknown. For our 1-year anniversary, expect an intensified experience: a space where sound evolves, energy builds, and the night feels like it could last forever.
This isn’t just another event.
This is a milestone.
