For the fourth year running, the Weltmuseum Wien, together with Weltmuseum Wien Friends and Chuanmener, invites you to a celebration that’s more than just a party. We are bringing to life the UNESCO-recognized spirit of the Lunar New Year—focusing on the heart of the festival: family values, community peace, and social unity. Come experience the 'Shared Fortune' that connects us all!

? Lion Dance Awakening: Witness a powerful initiation ceremony and two high-energy performances by the Austrian Wushu Federation.
? Cultural Performances: Enjoy dances and stories from Vienna’s Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean communities, including Waist Drum and Yangge folk dances.
? Interactive Fun: Don’t just watch—participate! Join our "Crashcourses" in Lion Dance (for kids), Yangge dance, or master the "Horse Stance" & try some Tai Chi moves.
✍️ Calligraphy - Write & bring your own "Fú" (Fortune) character home.
?? Knowledge : and join a special curator-led tour of the East Asia collection at 4:30 PM.
? New Year Traditions - Dress your best to welcome the festive spirit! Whether in Hanfu, Qipao, Ao dài, Hanbok, or other traditional costumes. Dirndls and lederhosen are also welcome! We'll make the museum shine. A touch of red brings good luck to everyone!✨
