π The Empowered Filmmaker is a free, all-inclusive Indigenous-focused film program designed to amplify voices, share powerful stories, and provide hands-on experience in filmmaking.
Since 2017, weβve trained 645+ participants and supported the creation of 214+ films across Canada. This program is Indigenous-focused, with priority given to Indigenous participants, and we warmly welcome non-Indigenous applicants who are interested in learning, collaborating, and supporting Indigenous storytelling.
