Bargara ANZAC Day Dawn Service 2026Join us as the Bargara community gathers once again to honour the service and sacrifice of our ANZACs at the Bargara ANZAC Day Dawn Service.
First established in 1997, this important tradition has become a meaningful moment each year for our community to pause, reflect, and remember those who served. The service continues to be made possible through the support of the people, volunteers, and local businesses of Bargara and the Bundaberg region.
Together, we gather at dawn in remembrance.
Event Details
📅 Date: 25 April, 2026
🕔 Parade Assembly: 5:00 AM
🕔 Parade Departure: 5:30 AM
🕔 Dawn Service Commences: 5:45 AM
📍 Location for Attendees:
Bargara Beachfront
Limited seating will be reserved for veterans following the parade, with any remaining seats available to the public.
Event Highlights
🎖 Diggers & Parade Marchers
Diggers and parade participants are asked to assemble at 5:00 AM, where Parade Marshalls will assist with formation.
The parade will step off at 5:30 AM, marching together toward the memorial.
📍 Assembly Location:
Intersection of Bauer Street & Tanner Street
👨👩👧 Children’s Participation
Children are warmly encouraged to take part in the parade as a symbol of remembrance and respect.
Those marching alongside serving members, veterans, or family members are welcome to join the procession.
✈ Aerial Salute
At sunrise (approximately 6:05 AM), look to the skies for a special aerial tribute, marking the dawn with a powerful moment of remembrance.
🥞 Gunfire Breakfast & Two-Up
Following the service, the community is invited to gather at the Bargara Beach Hotel for the traditional Gunfire Breakfast and Two-Up game.
Additional Information
Bernie Strohfeldt, President of Bargara Remembers, along with the organising committee, will continue to provide updates as the event approaches.
