Get ready for a day of history, heritage, and hard-hitting Gaelic Football! 🏐
To kick off this year’s Rockingham Catalpa Festival, Na Fianna Catalpa GAA is taking over Baldivis for a special afternoon of matches to honour one of the boldest escapes in history.
It has been 150 years since the daring Fenian escape from Fremantle to the American whaling ship Catalpa. We are marking this massive milestone the best way we know how—with the passion of the GAA.
🏆 THE MAIN EVENT 🏆
The afternoon will culminate in the prestigious Captain George Anthony Cup, named after the brave man who steered the Catalpa to freedom. The Captain George Anthony Cup will be proudly presented by his great grandson Jim Ryan.
