The vocal-instrumental band with two voices and one guitar – Țapinarii plays alternative folk.It is the only band that has a (inter)national Anti-Valentine’s Day tour, a tour that fights against hypocritical sweetness.
Please note that Țapinarii is a band originally from Romania and while everyone is more than welcome to join us, all their lyrics and music are in Romanian language.
Opening act : Jewelia
Romanian-born and London-based singer-songwriter Jewelia creates her own quirky flavour of alternative pop. She explores different sounds with each release, from the retro synthpop of her new album, to the light-hearted acoustic guitar of ‘Life is a Highway', recently featured in the Netflix series ’Tires’, or the the gentle piano musings of her song ‘Aquarium’, which was the official soundtrack of award-winning mini-series ‘13 Shades of Romanian'.
Her album "Little Wins", released in 2024, is a collection of twelve songs about self-acceptance. The album, self-produced and recorded by the artist, raised $10 000 on Kickstarter towards its making and was released via London boutique record label Pretty Decent Music.
Jewelia's rising artistry was featured in Clash Magazine, The Daily Star, FAULT, Notion, Wonderland, The Vinyl District, Women in Pop, Loud Women, Amazing Radio, BBC Three Counties and BBC Radio Kent among many others, and was “Recommendation of the Week” on BBC Introducing with Abbie McCarthy. Her music, with 2 million YouTube views and 1.5 million Spotify streams, continues to attract listeners worldwide.
