About the Project
The Young People’s Project – Photovoice Project invites young people to explore their experiences, creativity, and wellbeing through the power of photography.
This year’s theme, Moving Conversations, is all about mood, motivation, and movement — how we feel, what drives us, and how we express change in our lives and communities.
Delivered in partnership with Active Together and Cambridge University, the project creates a safe, creative space for young people to explore these ideas, share their stories, and connect through powerful images and dialogue.
Over three monthly sessions, participants will:
- 📸 Learn creative photography and storytelling techniques
- 💬 Reflect on mood, motivation, and movement through guided activities and group discussion
- 🧠 Build confidence, wellbeing, and communication skills
- 🎨 Collaborate on a Photovoice showcase that celebrates their voices and creativity
No photography experience needed — just curiosity, creativity, and an open mind!
Young people aged 11-25 living or studying in Leicester who want to explore creativity, mental health, and personal growth in a fun and supportive environment.
