This event will delve into Maf Cheung and Linus Liu’s’ unique perspectives and their sources of creative inspiration in the field of illustration. Maf Cheung is renowned for her distinctive style of enlarging animals, combining Hong Kong's urban landscapes with fantastical and whimsical elements. Linus Liu has captivated a wide readership with his diverse styles, showcasing his insightful views on dreams and growth through character design and narrative. This seminar promises to inspire and provide insights into the world of illustration, exploring the diverse landscape of the Hong Kong illustration scene.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Maf Cheung

《香港巨大化動物》創作人 、前香港設計職人工會主席、前香港插畫師協會委員。Maf 的畫作曾數度入選亞洲插畫年度大獎，於中港台日及馬來西亞展出；曾與日本酒莊聯乘推出純米大吟釀。曾參與香港插畫師協會、信和集團、Greenpeace、Warner Bros、Wacom、天趣畫廊等多個企劃，於中環街市、PMQ 以至尖東海傍大銀幕等場地展出其插畫、動畫作品。

Maf Cheung is the creator of Hong Kong Enlarged Animals. She is the former chair of the Hong Kong Designers Association. Her artwork has been selected multiple times for the Asian Illustration Annual Awards and other exhibitions.

廖光祖

香港獨立漫畫人。多年來喜歡畫畫及創作，無論素描、漫畫、動畫、數碼藝術創作項目都有參與。喜歡從日常觀察及幻想來創作故事。出版作品包括《貓面具少年》、《SHE》畫集、《SHE REMEMBERS》畫集、動畫短片《貓面具少年放暑假》，其中《貓面具少年》榮獲「創意香港」贊助的「港漫動力」香港漫畫支援計劃第一屆金獎。曾舉辦香港雙人畫展《Moment of Beings 存在的瞬間》、《一五一十》漫畫展覽等。

Linus Liu is an independent comic artist from Hong Kong. He enjoys drawing and creating, participating in artistic projects including sketches, comics, animations, and digital art. His published works include Masked Cat Boy, the art collection SHE, SHE REMEMBERS, and the animated short film Masked Cat Boy's Summer Vacation.
