- November 15: LATIN AMERICA (ABYA YALA) & THE DIASPORA IN CANADA (KANATA) - WORKSHOP & DISCUSSION WITH MURIEL LOPEZ SILVA (6:00-8:00 PM)
In recognition of our Latin communities and histories, join us for a circle/discussion and workshop with traditional Nicaraguan Cacao that explores Latin American identity, terminology, and the complexities of the diaspora.
- November 22: LEARN BEADING WITH SIERA (5:30-7:30 PM)
Join us for an evening with First Nations 2-Spirited Entrepreneur Siera Rosa Han, who will teach a beginner-friendly beadwork session. As the founder of The Three Sisters Craft Market, Siera advocates for achieving cultural harmony through the spaces she creates. This workshop will allow our community to learn more about how we can nurture and properly appreciate Indigenous entrepreneurship.
- November 29: LATINX SHOWCASE & OPEN MIC (5:00-8:00 PM)
[RESCHEDULED FROM OCTOBER 25, 2024] - Join us in celebrating Latina and Hispanic artists across Tkaronto (from 5-6:30 PM), along with our Open Mic open to all to participate in (from 6:30-8 PM). With emerging artists opening the Showcase with their talents, all are welcome to attend, participate in the open mic, and/or support.
