At this FREE hands-on clinic, we’ll teach you to make tuglines and necklines with provided rope, and you can bring iron rope or new poly or cable lines and snaps if you’d like to build a complete gangline under the supervision of experienced mushers.
AT THIS CLINIC WE WILL:

🔍 Discuss pros & cons of different line materials and snaps
📏 Explore different lengths and setups — and why you might choose one over another
🐕 Get your current lines evaluated by experienced mushers
MATERIALS PROVIDED (FREE):

✅ Fids to borrow
IF YOU WANT TO BUILD A GANGLINE, PLEASE BRING:
🪢 10 feet of 5/16" iron rope to make an 8-foot gangline (recommended), or pre-made cable / cable-filled poly line
🪝 Brass swivel snaps (5/8" for tuglines, ¼” for necklines)
⚠️ Please note: We will not be demonstrating how to make cable lines or how to insert cable into poly rope
🔎 FREE LINE EVALUATIONS
Bring your current lines for a free pre-season safety check by experienced mushers:
✔️ Inspect ganglines for fraying, wear, and UV damage
✔️ Check carabiners, snaps, and quick releases for cracks, poor function, or corrosion.
✔️ Look for hidden damage in vinyl-coated cable and poly rope cores
✔️ Get suggestions to improve safety and performance
✔️ Answer questions on adapting setups for your team
