Mount Ulu Sepat is one of Malaysia's challenging peaks, part of the famous G7 mountains in Peninsular Malaysia, which are 7 highest mountain in Peninsular Malaysia. Located in the state of Perak near the border with Kelantan, this mountain stands at 2,161 meters (7,090 feet) and offers an unforgettable experience for avid hikers and nature lovers.Despite being the lowest in terms of height compared to other mountains in G7 List, one should not take this lightly. Journey towards Gunung Ulu Sepat is tough ,Hikers fitness must be at optimum level to be prepared to climb steep 45 degrees for long hours , it gets even more steeper technically (80-90 degrees) nearing to the peak.
There is 2 routes to reach its base station, one using boat from Grik and another one using 4x4 from KG.Lasah, Sungai Siput. We will be using 4x4 from Kg Lasah that will bring you to Kg Lerlar where the hikes starts. Kg Lengweng is where you will set up your tent and rest here.
Below is a sample journey of the hike. (Things might have change since the last time we visited many years back)
DAY 1-
Start 4x4 from KG Lasah ➡️Reach Kg Lerlar➡️Reach KG Lengweng
Day 2-
Kem LEngweng ➡️Last Waterpoint ➡️ Simpang Tiga ➡️ Gunung Ulu Sepat Peak ➡️ Kampung Lenweng
Day 3-
Kampung Lenweng➡️Kg Lerlar➡️KG Lasah
To reach the beautifull Kem Lengweng on day 1 is not an easy feat , involves 4-5 hours of 4x4 ride and another few hours of hiking and river crossing. On Second day, hikers can change to light daypack or trail running vest to climb to the peak.
For those who dare to try and overcoming this challenges will be rewarded with Mystical mossy trees and beautifull bonsai trees at the peak. There is few spots with great views as well.

1. The participant acknowledges that this is an adventure trip. The itinerary serves as a guide only and flexibility or changes may be required. The organizers cannot be held responsible for any changes, cancellations or delays caused by accidents, strikes, government regulations, weather conditions or natural calamities, etc.
2. Participants are advised that accommodation during the expedition will be in a form of wild camping and different compared to homestays or hotels. Expectations should be aligned with conditions with no electricity, no WIFI, no conventional toilet facilities , uneven campgrounds and provision of simple yet adequate meals (Meals only provided For Full Package only)
3. The participant understands that during the course of the trip certain events may occur, including, but not limited to, accident or illness, political instability and the forces of nature. The participant agrees to assume all risks associated with the trip and indemnifies the organizers and hosts against all claims, disputes arising from his /her participation.
4. The hosts and organizers are not professional guides or tour operators; rather, we are passionate hiking enthusiasts extending invitations to like-minded individuals for collective exploration. Participants engage with us at their own discretion. In this case, in adherence to forestry regulations, qualified registered local guides will be provided.
5. For safety purposes , organizers have the right to disallow your participation if you're deem unsuitable for the event/trip or for any other reason whatsoever.
6. Refunds for deposits will not be provided in the event of withdrawal due to unforeseen circumstances. Additionally, administrative fees are non-transferable for future hikes. While replacement is an option, it is the responsibility of the hiker to seek out a suitable replacement 1 month before the event.
7. Refunds in full are possible if its due to cancellation by organizers or Inability to get slot for forestry permits.
8. If participant is late or absent at the meeting point on the agreed time , organizers and co host will not be required to wait for you. Punctuality is highly encouraged.
