Το Μουσείο Αλέκος Φασιανός εγκαινιάζει τη δεύτερη έκθεση του προγράμματος σύγχρονης τέχνης Contemporary Intervention Program με φιλοξενούμενη καλλιτέχνιδα την Ευγενία Βερελή.
“Στο Μουσείο του Αλέκου Φασιανού, το εικαστικό του έργο διαφεύγει τα στενά όρια της έκθεσης για να κατοικήσει τον χώρο, μέσα σε μικρά χαρτιά, αφίσες, φιγούρες θεάτρου σκιών, αλλά και στα ίδια τα στοιχεία του κτιρίου — έπιπλα, χερούλια, διακοσμητικά ένθετα.
Εκεί, στις αυθόρμητες σημειώσεις, συνάντησα μια προσωπική και παιγνιώδη πλευρά του: σημεία μιας γενικευμένης πρακτικής που υπερβαίνει την κλειστότητα του ολοκληρωμένου έργου και μετατρέπεται σε μια στάση απέναντι στα πράγματα, σε έναν τρόπο να βλέπει κανείς τον κόσμο.
Μια χειρονομιακή, σχεδόν καθημερινή πράξη δημιουργίας, που με καλεί να σκεφτώ το έργο μου ως μια διαδικασία συλλογής, συναρμολόγησης και μεταμόρφωσης υλικών που —όπως και όλα, ίσως, τα πράγματα— έχουν να πουν μια ιστορία.”

Το Contemporary Intervention Program είναι ένα νέο εικαστικό πρόγραμμα του μουσείου που στοχεύει στην ενίσχυση της σύγχρονης ελληνικής τέχνης μέσω του δημιουργικού διαλόγου μεταξύ του έργου του Αλέκου Φασιανού και των έργων σύγχρονων καλλιτεχνών.

The Alekos Fassianos Museum presents the second exhibition of its Contemporary Intervention Program, featuring artist Eugenia Vereli.
“At the Alekos Fassianos Museum, the artist’s visual language exceeds the conventional boundaries of display, permeating the very fabric of the space — appearing on loose slips of paper, posters, shadow-theatre figures, and inscribed onto the building’s own features: furniture, handles, decorative inlays.
Within these spontaneous annotations, one encounters an unexpectedly intimate and playful dimension of his practice — indices of an expanded mode of making that transcends the self-contained logic of the completed artwork and assumes the form of a worldview, a disposition toward things.
It is a gestural, almost quotidian form of creation, one that compels me to consider my own work as an ongoing process of gathering, assembling, and transforming materials which — like all things, perhaps — carry stories within them.”
