Join us at the Climate Action Campus (180 Avonside Drive) for a training in nonviolent peaceful protest. This will be a supportive and fun space to learn about nonviolence, engaging in effective protests, practicing skills like talking (or not talking!) to police, calming and grounding, de-escalation, and playing out your responses to different scenarios. This is not a lecture! It's engaging and interactive and it will be led by an experienced trainer. Suitable both for those totally new to, or experienced in nonviolent protest.
This training will be particularly useful for those attending or supporting our Carnival of Change action happening on December 6 (https://www.facebook.com/events/2397370397327843).
