$5 Studio Days: Batik Made Easy

Join us for April's $5 Studio Day at the Creative Arts School on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Batik is an ancient form of fabric dyeing used across Asia and Africa as early as the 3rd century. Traditionally, artists use wax to create patterns and designs before applying dye over the fabric. The wax is then removed, leaving behind beautiful designs with the undyed lines of fabric. Using just white glue, acrylic paint, and water, guests will create beautiful batik-inspired art on fabric.

Adults, teens, and families with children ages 5 and up are welcome. All children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. Materials are provided and registration is required.

Workshop Fee: $5 per participant (materials included)
