A Grammy-winning multi-instrumentalist, Chris spent eight years immersed in Zimbabwe's villages, learning to speak Shona fluently while mastering the mbira and ngoma drums. His band Panjea achieved platinum success in Zimbabwe and Mozambique, and he's performed globally, including at the Sydney Olympics. A respected teacher at institutions like Berklee College of Music and Stanford University, Chris brings authentic African traditions alive through joyful, transformative practice.

The week culminates in a vibrant community performance, bringing together participants with the wider island community for a celebration of music, dance, and joy.
This is a full retreat within an 8 week incubator. You are welcome to come for just this single event, or to extend your time in Hawaii and discover work-life balance while living within an eco village and weaving with like-minded community.
