🪁 It's International Kite Day!🪁 It's time to make a kite at Portland Library! International Kite Day originated in India, in the state of Gujarat. The kite festival, called Uttarayan in Hindi, celebrates the day that winter ends and summer begins, as well as the upcoming harvest season. 📅 Dates & Times Kite making will commence 14th January at 10:00am and we will be hard at work until 11:30!
