Last month, Kanan received the shock of her life when she was diagnosed with HER2 positive breast cancer, an aggressive sub-type of breast cancer that can spread and grow rapidly. Unfortunately, the targeted treatment isn't funded, and Kanan is looking at costs of approx $35,000-$40,000.
This is more than just a dance event — it’s a celebration of her community, strength, and the power of showing up.
We’ve rallied an insanely talented team of 20+ dance professionals, each donating their time and energy to teach a class. From hip hop to heels, contemporary to line-dancing — there’s something for everyone.
Thanks to the generosity of Hannah from Sweet Studios, we’ll be dancing non-stop on the Kapiti Coast, and we want YOU to be part of it!
💃 4 Ways to Join the Movement:
🕚 Mini Movers (5 hours, Year 1-4)
Take on the mini challenge by getting sponsored while you learn some new styles of dance and how to present yourself on a stage!
🕛 Half-Day Hero (12 Hours, Year 5 - Year 8)
Get sponsored for every hour you dance — rally your supporters and groove for a cause. Can be done individually or split between a group!
🕘 Full-Day Fighter (24 Hours, Year 9+)
Take on the full 24-hour challenge and let your sponsors pledge per hour. Every step helps Kanan get closer to healing. Recommended todo this as a group!
