Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! Start your holiday morning with a refreshing Turkey Trot Hike at First Landing State Park (64th Street entrance, Virginia Beach, VA) on Thursday, November 27th.
📅 Time: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
📍 Meeting Spot: Parking lot just past the ranger booth on the right side.
🚗 Parking & Fees:
• Park Entry Fee: $7 per vehicle (standard weekday rate). Pay at the ranger booth by cash or card.
• Street Parking: Free street parking is available along Atlantic Avenue near 64th Street if you don’t want to pay the park fee.
• If you’re driving north on Atlantic Avenue, turn left onto 64th Street to reach the park entrance.
🌿 Trail Plan (5 miles total):
We’ll hike the Long Creek Trail (moderate hills) and Osprey Trail (flat and sandy)—a beautiful 5-mile route through shaded forest, dunes, and scenic water views. It’s a fun and energizing way to kick off Thanksgiving morning!
🐶 Dogs Welcome:
Leashed dogs are invited! Bring water, comfy shoes, and plenty of good energy. 🌞💚
